It is the pivot of a nationwide project, gathering scholars and practitioners with expert knowledge in private law. Let us introduce the PPL’s redaction.

The goals we pursue

PPL aims to portray Polish private law in its current shape, and to provide information on current occurrences (amendments, ground-breaking rulings, outstanding publications, etc.). Publishing in English, we hope to afford useful information not only for domestic readers, but also for recipients abroad. We address the site both to academics and practitioners, trusting that our effort will contribute to broadening knowledge on private law of Poland.

The concept of the site

The PPL offers an insider’s view into private law as a whole, through its particular areas. Therefore, the core of the site consists of ten columns, reflecting the crucial spheres of the private law domain. We tend to map their structure, their values, their statutory rules and the standpoints of the doctrine and judiciary. Each of the columns is looked after by an expert editor and consists of two parts: a general introduction and permanently updated entries, providing information on problems and occurrences worth mentioning.
